I had a goal for 2013 to shoot with my DSLR, just for fun, once a week. That turned into once a month and now it kinda turned into “once every special occasion”. Thankfully it doesn’t take too much to make something a special occasion in my mind. :)  We voyaged on a 6 hour road trip to a huge book sale. Friends, pit stops, candy, sermons, discussions, desert skies and little sleep while waiting over night for the doors to open. It was fun.

  • your photos make me feel like i am right there with you! likin your perspective!

keep up the “big girl camera” stuff…!!

    xo

  • Stacy Mc says:

Looks like a wonderful time. Love old books!

  • Elizabeth says:

You really do practice what you preach :) I love the pictures!

  • Lindsey Marks says:

As an English major, adventure lover and book collector (cough cough…. hoarder)… this is a true, soul-stirring kind of lovely. bravo!

  • These are lovely, you should use your camera for fun more often! I love the details of the car journey, really tells a story. Such a great idea to take a road trip with friends :)

  • I randomly scroll though your site from time to time (keeping up on instagram is a daily joy of mine) and, everytime I see a photo of you, you remind me more and more of my sister. Your Mister reminds me of my sister’s best friend. It’s such a special connection I make in my mind and I love it so much. Your photography inspires me to do my arts and I deeply thank you for that. <3 Can't wait to see what you post next!

I’m part of a book club… I don’t care how nerdy that sounds either, its always so much fun and its filled with lovely ladies. We read a book (well, I don’t always finish them) and then a set of ladies host a gathering where we enjoy each other and discuss the book. This time around the book was The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins… the hosts requested we wear white. The table setting, details, flowers, cocktails, food and company was enough to make me feel as spoiled as ever. I’m thankful to be with such neat ladies that share in the love of reading and a good laugh.

” Let the music speak to us of tonight, in a happier language than our own.”

“My hour for tea is half-past five, and my buttered toast waits for nobody.”

” Our words are giants when they do us an injury, and dwarfs when they do us a service.”

Brianne, from Bre{Style} had me me come along to assist as she styled the after VIP party for this event. It was such a fun, busy day helping Brianne’s vision come together. There were SO many  people and talents that come together to make an event this big happen and look good. It was quite impressive. Toward the end of the night I ended up taking pictures for Ontario Mills during this event, so I want to share a little tidbit of what the evening looked like!

You have got to check out Bre {Style}’s blog and wait for her to post a feature on this event. All she did to make it amazing, before and after pics and all that fun goodness.
